I don't understand why I'm so bad at this game... I spawn, I get killed, I spawn again, I get killed... someone's always behind me, or above me, or in front of me already aiming at me. It honestly feels like everyone on the other team is only after me. Mounted tank guns always take me down with 1-2 shots, I hit people 10 times with one and they're still walking. Everyone hits me once or twice and I'm dead, I hit them in the face 5 times and they still kill me. Everyone has eyefinity or 3d surround enabled for certain :p

I've smashed my keyboard, knackered my mouse and ragequit at least twice an hour over this game, but for some reason I still play it. How the hell does everyone else manage to get a decent K/D ratio (besides snipers) and I can't seem to do anything but get shot and rack up 'brownie' points? :(

In the early stages, when you have no unlocks, ranks etc. you're a sitting (or running) duck.

Get yourself placed in successful squads and use that to build up points. Once you've got the experience, you're set.

I'm stilll in the early days myself but find it much less "ragey" when I play on PC. On the 360, I can barely see what's going on half the time -- can't tell if that's a person, or a tree, or what. Then bang, I'm dead. Over, and over, and over again.

I've been playing for about 30 hours now and I'm pretty happy with my weapons (I play Medic most of the time, never play Scout because I can't stand people who do). I can rack up quite a few points but it's the kills I can't seem to get. I don't do badly at the shooting part, just really badly at the getting shot part.

I've played on 360 at my mate's and know what you mean. I think it's the overblown gamma/contrast on TVs combined with the further distance from the screen & lower res. I still do better on the 360 version though... most people on there seem a bit 'special', running around like headless chickens so you can shoot them in the back :D

jus need to find the right servers, ones that limit snipers n have active GOOD admins.. not ones who abuse the power to make themselves look like pro's :p

If it makes you feel any better i hated this game for the first 10 hours or so.

I love it now...

I dont understand why people feel the need to smash and brake their own property because they are having a bad day/game. I just stop playing if im not having fun...

Also i tend to have someone on ventrilo with me, its much more fun and just 2 of you can lock down a server.

Good servers are NOT ones that limit recons. Those are pretty stupid servers. Having good admins that punish recons that spend the entire game camping are, however, great.

Recon class does not have to be all about the camp/sitting around. Playing a recon in the thick of things with sense mines and c4 going off everywhere is far superior.

From my experience of the game, medic is not a class for racking up kills. I do better as an engineer than any other class and my K/D prooves it. For me the engineer's weapons are more accurate than either medic or assault and that suits me better than high powered weapons. If you are going to play as medic and use LMG's then tap the mouse button and fire in small bursts.

As FT said, servers with Recon limits are extremely lame. As are servers with tank limits, gustav limits, or any other n00b rule.

You're not going to rack up kills as a medic, but playing medic will rank you up quicker (getting you to the all important Magnum ammo at ~14)

Play Medic for points, play Engineer for Kills. Play Recon for sense mines (a shotgun/C4/sense mine sniper is far more formidable than a Sniper Recon), play Assault if you haven't platted the 40mm yet :p

Medic + MG36 + Red dot + Tap tap tap = Kills. Lots of kills.

Add Magnum ammo if you're feeling particularly evil.

Like I said, for me, medic isn't a class for racking up kills. Other players seem to get loads of kills with the LMG, but I get killed mostly by engineers and camping fag recons.

Mixture for me, but i have played on a server once where the opposition were all Medics, and i really mean all medics.

Mainly just take your time, and get used to the maps. Flanking the enemy by going around the edges of the map helps, as well as being careful, checking your surroundings and making sure you're not in the open for too long, and try and use what cover remains as best as you can.

Also, edit your FOV if you haven't already in the settings.ini file.
