BFBC2... raaaaage!!!

Another piece of advice - don't equip scopes. This will force you to spend more time looking at the world around you, meaning that you'll have less times when people kill you as you're stood there, scoped in.

I can echo this. I relied on the 4x scope a lot, and i used to hardly move, also, close encounter fights practically made me a sitting duck because of it. I can slightly vouch for the red dot sight, but iron sights are the way forward imo, they encourage you to move forward and are generally better because you can see more, scopes also take up quite a bit of your screen as well.

I also suck at this game. It's fun though!

I did once make an absolutely epic shot across almost the whole map as a Recon once. Some guy was on top of a wind turbine and I headshot him blindly (could only see the top of the turbine) from my spawn point by guessing how far the bullet would dip. Did it in one shot, was epic. Wished I'd recorded it or something.

Get yourself placed in successful squads and use that to build up points. Once you've got the experience, you're set.

jus need to find the right servers, ones that limit snipers n have active GOOD admins.. not ones who abuse the power to make themselves look like pro's :p
This is good advice. I'd also advise avoiding the hardcore servers for the time being.

You don't need to kill people or take objectives to earn points. I find the best way to rack up points (to begin with anyway) is to play as a support unit. Restock your team with ammo, heal allies and repair vehicles. Remember, you get more points for helping out your squad than for helping out anyone else.

Just be patient :)

^ HaX0r alert :D haha always nice to do something amazing.. you sit there for a second and just stop... "crap did i just really do that?" .. then the more you do try to do the same thing it never works haha !

Mainly just take your time, and get used to the maps. Flanking the enemy by going around the edges of the map helps, as well as being careful, checking your surroundings and making sure you're not in the open for too long, and try and use what cover remains as best as you can.

Also, edit your FOV if you haven't already in the settings.ini file.

well a few friends got this in the ea sale so im hoping this helps, Havent changed the field of view so hopefully this helps. Think im to used to call of duty style fps multi. determined to like this

COD mindset does not work in this game, i still have to hold back the horses as i just want to run everywhere....
Stick to a couple of maps and you will learn the good places to att / def (assuming rush) and where you tend to find the campers.
BFN tend to have a lot of servers with only two map rotations.

Everyone gets rage :)

Medic + MG36 + Red dot + Tap tap tap = Kills. Lots of kills.

Add Magnum ammo if you're feeling particularly evil.

+1

BUT the T88 LMG is better up close and on range, the Irons sights on it rule, so grab LW pack and then you're a super soldier ;)

Mounted tank guns always take me down with 1-2 shots, I hit people 10 times with one and they're still walking. Everyone hits me once or twice and I'm dead, I hit them in the face 5 times and they still kill me.

I at the humble level 39 and still get this but i put it down to one thing: the other players ping. whenever i check the board mine's in the 60's - 80's and i would say a good 90% of the other players are usually between 100 - 200ish

When you empty almost an entire clip into someone and they are still standing you can bet it will be ping. I don't want to use it as some exscuse for being bad at the game i do decently enough but there are plenty of players that are almost bulletproof. and i have been bulletproof on occasion, people have done the same to me and i have somehow lived through it, even clan mates who average the same latency as me. :o

what mode are you playing? try playing rush mode it has a bit more order to it then others, generally speaking the enemy is in front of you when spawning lol.

Personally for kills and some easy points to get your rank up i would go assault, the first gun if rubbish but stick with it, and get your self easy points but giving ammo to your squad mates

then after that the rifles are pretty good

M14, red dot, C4.

Equipped for almost anything except air/revives as Engineer.

My preferred load-out, swap in Assault if ammo refills are more useful than repair on long haul maps.

Cheers for the advice peeps :D

I can't get on with the red dot attached to any medic guns... I'm pretty good at shooting, it's finding someone to shoot before being shot that's the problem. I changed servers (I was playing on a noob server packed with non-noobs who spent their time calling people noobs...) and played Heavy Metal for a couple of hours with a 1000 point limit. Much, much better and more tactical than the smaller maps IMO. My kills have been exceeding deaths every game and I'm constantly coming in the top 5.

About the ping, it tells me on the server list my ping is >10, usually says around 100 on the scoreboard, but I tend to spawn after everyone for some reason. I see them all running onto the battlefield then I get to spawn. You could definitely have a point here because a lot of my close-quarters hits don't seem to register.

I don't play this like I would COD (which I stopped playing after about 20 hours because it felt mundane as hell). I don't rush, I get killed. I rush, I get killed. Somebody always spots me no matter where I hide/run. On heavy metal though, I seem to be able to spot everyone even really far in the distance and even kill them with a machine gun from the other side of the map (bit stupid but, there you go). Maybe I was just picking the wrong servers full of vet COD players or something...

Same, same and same :p

Glad I'm not the only one with anger issues :D. Really want a new Razer mouse but I'm scared I'll break it as soon as I whack on a multiplayer game

Dye your orange hair to another colour ?

Forget about KD ratio people put too much into it. play as a squad / team player.

You'll get better the more you play it, just like most things in life. You can unlock everything by about level 25 if i remember right. So being new isn't realy a big deal.

Wear boxing gloves while you play, at least then you won't smash up your own gear that costs good money while your being a spoilt brat ?
