Have a look at this little beauty.... a 1998 Daimler Super V8.....

mmmm...

If I had to have just the one car I would seriously consider one of these....

that cant be good for the engine then.

Its had two engines, and the current one has been rebuilt? thats odd, you would expect it to last to the Moon and back.

Was going to say the same, previous owner spends 4k to cover 600 miles and then sells. Also the car is looking generally tired from the pics.

I just read up about Daimler the other day, well wiki'd it.
Used to be a couple going around edinburgh of the XJ6 or xj40. I can't remember but peering through the windows they were more impressive than the Jaguar version.

They are pretty much the ultimate X308 XJ.

That one probably had its first engine changed because of the nikasil issue, then the second one because of timing chain failure.

The engine that is now in the car will last for ever its bomb proof now.

The tints ruin it and its got a slightly scabby interior, which you could bring back to life, but its more money, i didnt notice anything about a suspension refresh, thats probably in need of doing as is a gearbox flush.

I dunno it wouldnt be my money.

Funny enough i aint had one of those ones, iv had XJR's but not a Daimler Super.

My Dad has a Daimler Super V8 LWB, a 2007/2008 model.

Only driven it a few times and all I can say is its pretty damn quick! Really comfortable and huge!

Thats an X350 shape, they are lovely too, superb car.

Yeah i think it's less this particular example but just having a nice Daimler Super V8... i didn't notice the shabby bodywork on my iphone it has to be said...

is 5 owners a bad thing on a 13 year old car ?

Not normally but if i was looking for one of those i'd be seeking the elusive few that are 1 and 2 owner and spending that bit extra to get a cherished one.
