A red light is there to indicate priority, it does not give right of way.
I'm not condoning shooting through red lights, just stating the facts. The blind lighted junctions, he slowed down for to observe... at that time of the morning, there is nothing wrong with jumping red lights as long as you can see what's coming or can see far enough to know that nothing will cross your path before you can safely clear the junction.

can do that... I didn't say I can ride a bike like that... in fact, I ride incredibly carefully... I've seen so many idiot car drivers on the road who simply fail to spot you, it's never worth pushing it on a bike on these roads.
That time of the morning though, I'd likely be riding a little quicker than normal thanks to the reduced traffic risk.
I haven't even had the chance to take a bike to a track yet... I'm the first to admit that my riding ability isn't the best.
Give me four contact patches though and I'll be off like a shot
