if the Nazi's had won the war

At the point they were defeated, no. But (and please, correct me if i'm wrong. My knowledge here is extremely limited so I might well be mistaken) I have read that they were extremely close to perfecting the V3 rockets which would have been able to attack UK. It was a matter of months.

By the time they got to the V2 let alone anything they planned, it was already too late, they had lost the war.

I doubt any improvements to technology, etc would be worth the lives lost in getting there.

And "doubt" is not nearly a strong enough word to be using there.

Short term it looked quite bleak for non-Arian's, but once the initial killing spree was over he could have created a paradise on Earth, at least he would have ensured that tens of millions didn't die of starvation each year like we allow.

It's all theoretical though, he could just as easily have waged nuclear war with Russia and the United States and the human race would become extinct circa 1960's.

I would think a lot of the German post-war reconstruction effort and attempts to rule the land would be scuppered or slowed down by resistance groups.

That said, I hate to say it, but we're worse off technologically and infrastructurally because the Nazis lost. They had a vision, as malicious as some of it may be, that no other nation will ever have. The Nazis weren't concerned with human rights or ethics - they got things done.

You look at NASA for example - the most technologically advanced corporation in the United States. The pivotal contribution to it was by Wernher von Braun, a decorated Nazi scientist who was the architect of the German rocket technology. Without Nazi technology (The V-2 rocket to be specific), man could not have landed on the moon.

No, because more than half of the world's population would be dead.

Which would be crap. Not just in my opinion, but fact.

How do you know he would have wiped out half the worlds population? He might of done what the UK did and invited them all to stay and work or claim benefits. what do you think?

He would certainly aim to eliminate certain groups before the war ended. The rest would quite possibly be allowed to live under constant gestapo supervision (most Axis countries and those that didn't show much resistance) or forced into heavy manual labour (the others).

I think you're being unfair to our own scientists and to the scientists of other Western Nations here. Whilst Germany's rocket technology was indeed a lot more advanced than our own - we had more advanced RADAR, we had more advanced computers (the first?), as well as many other achievements.

The space programme was probably the pinnacle of human scientific achievement in the 20th Century, but it was achieved through advances from a great number of people, not just advances in rocketry garnered from German scientists.

everyone saying they'd be driving BMW good luck

i'll take my porsche

anyway there's probably good and bad things if the germans would've won.

it would probably be very strict ruling and we'd have secret services like the staatssicherheit (aka StaSi) back in east germany :(

To be fair, the Germans also had pretty advanced machinery at the time of the war. If it was not for the polish who came about a great deal of intelligence about the cipher machine 'enigma', we may have never been able to develop the Colossus.

Well the fact he killed 6 million in just over 5 years for purely prejudicial reasons kinda gives that away, don't you think?
