Got an anniversary present from my other half - it's awesome!

I had my eldest daughter when I was 22, my youngest when I was 24, its great, we can now do a lot of stuff when im still young and fit and into a lot of the same things as they are. It was tough at the time but i would recommend to anyone that you have your kids young, we are off on a USA road trip next month, just the three of us :)

Missed this thread the first time, so I'll counter the negativity and say CONGRATS! You sound like you can handle it, this will end up being the best "mistake" of your life :) enjoy it.

Fair play mate, I'm 26 been with my gf on and off for 7 years and still dread the thought of having kids.

Grats though mate :)

Bricks would be dropped if that was me :p

Been together with my girlfriend just over two years now, we're both 22, this would definitely not be a good thing if it happened!

Why not? I'm 26 and got a 7 yr old, 3 yr old, and twin boys who are 5 months old...Never been happier :)

We're both going into our final year at university next year (BEng for me, LLB for her) so having children during this time is probably the worst thing that could happen, for her especially.

If it happened next year when after we've both graduated it'll severely restrict our options in an already difficult graduate market and have a knock on affect with our careers, having to look after a baby is hardly ideal when starting one off, especially in law!

Plus, I'd rather not have a baby draining our finances :D
