Having not read this thread since yesterday it may have already been mentioned but...
Reading the papers today it appears there were around 21 people in the compound, with around 17 of them being classed as "non combatants" (including the 3 women). OBL wasn't armed either when they shot him but was resisting capture (whatever that means). (Taken from the times who quote someone like the head of the CIA IIRC).
EDIT: The suggestion that he used a woman as a human shield was also wrong according to the source...

Well his death has happened 8 times in the last 10 years or so.
Probably knew he was dead a long time ago.
What do you mean by real? There isn't a photo, just a discussion of how graphic the photo is. They still haven't released it as far as I know.

Iran especially would still say that if they had any evidence. As they would love to stick it to USA especially after a military operation and all the accusations. Non of those supposed deaths have any proof whatsoever either.

Basically says photos show a gun shot wound to the head, part of the skull missing and showing brain matter. One eye open while the other eye is totally missing, gunshot wound to the chest can't be seen in the photo.

As to whether or not this has actually happened and isn't PR, I don't know. However if it did happen then the only sensible way to dispose of his body was to throw it in the ocean.
That way, no one will make a shrine around his burial place, he's then not a martyr... However, this isn't the end of the war on terror, there will always be someone else ready to take his place. It's a war which can't be won.

Which describes the fake photo though doesn't it so are they going to try and 'tidy-up' that fake photo and pass it off as original or what?

No it doesn't describe the fake photo. And why would the U.S re-release what is already known as a fake photo.

I think the real question isn't whether or not he's dead, but whether or not he's been dead for 10 years or 3 days.
Then again perhaps he's infact being detained secretly.
Either way, there's no chance of him maing a video.
