Hey guys

There was an ebay auction on BuyItNow - the auction was very low in price. I bought the item and paid for it via paypal. Shortly afterwards the seller refunded my payment and logged a cancellation request. I declined this and ebays Terms state that the sale is legally binding.

The seller is now refusing to take my order and ship out the goods. The seller is a business seller! Not a private user.

Can the seller refuse to provide me with the goods. (The seller have multiple units, and has relisted them at a higher price now)

Sounds like it was a genuine mistake. I had the same with a set of £700+ golf clubs which were listed for £70. I bought the item, they refunded my money and I moved on.

I think they can as It happened to me once and they just said it was an error in the listing and all they needed to do was refund my money.

Usually they can only do it if they have a good reason. However if they've listed at the wrong price then unfortunately that'll likely be a good enough reason for ebay.

depends on how long the listing was running for.

if it was running for a few days then they must have seen the mistake before they even listed the item.

or they have sold it outside of e-bay to cut the sellers fee's like i done with my 800d.

It sounds like it was a mistake. If I were you, I'd accept that mistakes can happen rather than trying to bully him into selling you goods that are (obviously, by the sounds of it) mistakenly priced

If it was clearly mispriced then stop trying to screw the business out of money. Imagine if you were selling something and accidentally entered £2.00 instead of £200, would you feel it right to be forced to honour the transaction?

Anyway you got the refund what's the problem?

Its pretty annoying though. At one point the rainforest place made a mistake on GPU pricing. Their 5870's were 30quid lol so i put 3 of them in my basket, and checked out :p

i was very upset when i got my cancellation email :(

edit: caught your ninja edit :p

disclaimer: he didn't say bafoon

No point getting annoyed about genuine mistakes, it's just very pleasing if they are occasionally honoured. If sellers are frequently offering bargains then increasing the price after you try to buy, then all you can do is report them and buy elsewhere in future.

id even leave positive feedback if they sorted (cancelled and refunded) it quickly
