Lian Li's new A05 - OCUK?

Still pretty much the same as the first one too :p.

Flipped, USB 3, IO's on the front, new led location, new power button location, roof fan, water cooling pass through, new PSU plug location. It's very different

Full size rad's fit in the top without messing about

I guess it's a matter of opinion but apart from the traditional ATX orientation most of those are very minor changes to me :p. But no need to change a winning formula I guess.

Where's the rad mount in the roof? Do you just mean the 1x140mm?

Smart idea Lian Li. Introduce all the problems you alleviated by flipping the motherboard in the first place (for example, if you want to run CF/SLI now, the PSU will be in the way unless you have a very short unit. Which is unlikely given the multi-card set-up). It'll suffer from many of the same issues as the CM Elite 360 now, whereas before it could take pretty much any hardware.

Strange, the changes are so significant it surely deserves a completely new model name? Still, good cases. I've got one of the A05N, remarkably compact for full size ATX mobos.

the optional 140mm fan top for upside down mobo PC-A05/PC-A05N is really good for the GPU cooling - clean air blown straight onto the graphics card.

Why are they using inside silver again?

Its the only thing that puts me off buying one.

Lian Li with black on the inside only comes with a few 'premium' cases and one or two mid-cases which all have the 'X' prefix or suffix. You'd be looking for an A05X or an X-A05 or something.

I prefer the buttons to the right of the front. Never understood them being to the left, considering for ease of access you put this case to the left on a desk.

Might see if they do the new fronts as spares.
