Yes.. I'm bored at work, and I don't want to do actual work so...

What is your favourite "badass" animal?

Here are some suggestions:

1. The Honey Badger

Yes, you all know and love it. Only discovered this hard-as-nails critter recently though, which is shameful considering how awesome it is. Just to give you an idea of how solid it is...

- it eats cobras for breakfast... gets bitten? It don't give a ****. It just gets back up and starts killing whatever else it feels like.
- it runs 40 miles a day... Alone - no time for friends.
- it raids bees nests for the lulz. Stings? It don't care.
- Lions can't touch it (see youtube). Not even MC Hammer can either.

Wolverines are pretty much the same thing... so I will accept either.

2. Black mamba

Not the most venomous snake in the world but it's one of the only ones that will actually go out of its way to bite you just for the hell of it.

Sources: Saw it on TV once where saw guy got chased by one.

3. Komodo dragon

It's named after a popular 3rd party firewall program.

4. Gibbons

5. Megladon

Came in to say Honey Badger - it even has a badass haircut. Iraqis have had to put up with a lot in the last few years but when rumours started saying British troops had let a load of Honey Badgers loose near Basra it nearly caused a riot.

I vote for the whole weasel/stoat family.

YES I knew I forgot something. I agree.. they are hard. I remember seeing them on that last David Attenbrough program... "Life" was it? Quite ironic cos the stoat was killing a rabbit.

Hammerhead Shark for sure

1. Its a shark
2. Its got a head shaped like a hammer
3. Hammers/sharks are dangerous

Honey Badger is the only option.

No matter how big or strong something is, the Honey Badger will **** it's **** up!

IT GOT BITTEN BY A PUFF ADDER, PASSED OUT, NEARLY DIED AND STARTED ATTACKING IT AGAIN!

omg this

Also this needs a mention as it is literally immortal!

The immortal jellyfish (turritopsis nutricula) has to be item one on this list because of the fact that it is immortal. That isn’t hyperbole – it really is immortal. After reaching sexual maturity, this jellyfish is able to reverse its aging process and become a polyp again. The ability to reverse the life cycle is probably unique in the animal kingdom, and allows the jellyfish to bypass death, rendering the Turritopsis nutricula biologically immortal. Lab tests showed that 100% of specimens reverted to the polyp stage.

It's the skin that makes the honey badger pretty badass then
"The skin is also tough enough to resist several machete blows. The only sure way of killing them quickly is through a blow to the skull with a club or a shot to the head with a powerful rifle, as their skin is almost impervious to arrows and spears."
