Gaming mouse - Which one to choose?

#1 - Razer DeathAdder Respawn - £41.99 inc VAT
#2 - Roccat Kova+ - £45.98 inc VAT
#3 - Coolermaster Sentinel Advance - £43.98 inc VAT
#4 - Logitech G9x - £47.99 inc VAT

This is a bit of an odd short list, G9x and Kova are better suited to small hands and finger tip hold, Deathadder and Sentinel are larger, more palm grip style. Figure out your hand size and preferred grip style.

G9x is good, but I tried many mice and I 100% prefer the grip on the Alienware TactX (which is the exact same mouse as G9x, but with a fixed grip)

I've had many Razer mice over the years, quality has been poor over the years, but the newest models are much improved. I think it's safe to buy Razer now, but I would choose the Black Edition Deathadder as the grip surface is nicer.

Coolermaster, don't care much for those - ODM rebrand, nothing special.

Roccat - I'm actually very anti Roccat. These are cheap, Chinese ODM designs sold for much more than they are really worth. I read about one guy on another forum went through seven Kone in a few months due to broken buttons and wheels. On another forum they cut the back off of the Kova to make it comfortable - the shape is just a terrible design with unpleasant edges. The Kone+ appears to be better quality, but I'd still be inclined to let other people take the risk and see how they hold up after a year or more of use and abuse.

The deathadder with boogie mousemat is a solid choice.

However I will vouch for my microsoft sidewinder x8, its wireless, needs charging twice a week. Ive used it for 2 years and I still havent replaced the battery, ergonomically its a bit square and angular, I have definetely held comfier mice.

Its got 4000 dpi if that means something to you, 10 buttons...it also comes with three sets of interchangable mouse feet, I have noted a difference in the feel of the three, I use the black feet they seem to work well on wood.

I dont think theres anything at its pricepoint I would consider as a replacement, I would get a g700 but its too much money. Mamba forget about it.

I got hold of a kone, indeed my mouse wheel broke. Thought it wouldnt happen to me, I'm not one of them game ragers either who take it out on their equipment.

I got the Razer Deathadder Respawn after my original mouse (a crappy wireless mouse that came with my PC) packed in. I've had no problems with it whatsoever.

Unfortunately there aren't many stores around which stock the more interesting gaming mice like the CM Storm Inferno or Spawn which I'm interested in.

Went for the CM Storm in the end, wasn't sure I'd get on with a claw mouse but is really nice, build quality is great, only negative is the lack of a braided cable but apart from that is perfect for me.
