Vivid Dreams

I had such a weird dream a few days ago, I dreamt I was being chased and attacked by a giant killer squirrel with razor sharp teeth ans he kept shouting "I'm coming for your nuts! in a whiny voice" And he just kept eating nuts and grew bigger and bigger! I ended up finding a shotgun and using it to take him down, then when I killed him an even bigger MummaPedoBear emerged like Godzilla! arghhhh It ate children, luckily i had gained access to a Typhoon Fighter Jet and took him down in style..lol so yeah ¬_¬

Most vivid dreams seem to happen for me when I'm on the verge of waking up. I've only ever managed once or twice to get back to sleep and continue a dream briefly.

Had a few lucid experiences but not for a while now. I remember telling people in the dream that I was actually not there and I was dreaming :p It was actually possible to spawn stuff like a car or a weapon because someone was after me! :D I often visualise myself in third person in a dream for some reason. Almost like playing a game but then I really do feel like I'm there in parts.

I often have zombie themed dreams. I recently dreamt I was living in the middle of a zombie apocolypse. The call centre I work in had been taken over by the army and they were using the staff to co-ordinate military actions up and down the country via mobile phones. They had the call centre surrounded by makeshift walls and razorwire to keep out the nearby zombie hordes and they wouldnt let any of the staff leave the centre or try and contact their families/friends. I remember in the dream one of my colleagues got taken out and shot for trying to call home to see if anyone there was still alive.

I had a dream a few months ago where I realised I was actually dreaming. It lasted a couple of seconds and suddenly the dream 'world' began to shake voilently. I woke up sitting upright in my bed.

The most vivid dream I ever had was a rather extended zombie survival deal, which culminated in one of my friends at the time, now zombified, biting the middle two fingers off of my right hand as I tried to defend myself.

Could have sworn I felt that, crunching of bone and all. Needless to say, I woke up sharpish.

Is there anyway you can enduce vivid/lucid dreams?

It takes practice, but it can be done, although nothing works 100%:

- Try thinking about lucid dreams before going to bed.
- In the morning write a description of any dreams you had the previous night, over time this helps you remember more of your dreams in the future.
- Get in to the habit of doing 'reality checks' in real life.
- If you're really determined, you can set an alarm to wake yourself up at certain times according to your circadian rhythm. However you'll have to do some research on that first as I think it's different for everyone, and there is maths involved.

Eat cheese before you go bed.
Doesn't work with me!

Cool thanks mate, will give it a shot :)

dreamt last night I was watching the TV and the news was the Golden Gate Bridge had fallen down, woke up and had to turn on the TV to check the news wasn't real. =/

Lucid dreams are awesome, but whenever I realize I'm having one, I try to control it too much and end up waking up.

I have lucid dreams all the time! And because of this I've slept with the likes of Alexandra Burke and Buffy the Vampire Slayer (when she was in her prime). Not sure what I do/eat/drink that lets me have them, but I find out I'll be selling it.

I started medication a few weeks ago (roaccutane) and I've been having a few mad lucid dreams. First one, I murdered my dad by choking him - I thought it was real and take a few secs to register when I woken up.

Second dream: I was invited to the Oscars and I couldn't find a bow tie to go with my tux so I ended up not going lol.

Dream I had last night was about a toothbrush, strange.

What about the one where you're eating a giant marshmallow and wake up to find one of you pillows missing.

Very rarely do I remember my dreams anymore, can't remember when I had one last, though I can still remember dreams that I have had when I was a kid.
