A few of you will remember a while back I requested a logo for my new watch repair website, The site is going really well but I feel the name is a little cold and clinical.

I am changing the name to British Horological Services or maybe just Horological Services and would really appreciate any help with the design.

As before I will offer a free service to the winner.

You realise no one is going to know what your business is with that name right?

I reckon you know what it means, and me, and him and anyone who's into watches will know :p

I'd say it'd be more a problem of people finding you on google etc as I wouldn't go and search for "horological repairs" I'd search for "watch repairs"

Any suggestions welcome. I realise the sites name might not stand out like my current site but I am aiming at different type of customer with this new name.

I also find customers find my site by its content and not by its name.

You should work on your customer service a bit more, I mailed you about 3 watch repairs and after an email back you never replied :/

Totally agree with this. Even if I earnt £100k more than my current salary and start buying Breitlings, evolved my accent from middle to upper class I am not the type of person who would search for Horological Service.

I understand your desire to appear to a different market - have you considered launching a separate website with the same guts underneath thereby not forfeiting any customers?

I'm note sure of your current market share but by rebranding you may lose many of your customers who call a spade a spade rather than a mechanical lever...

All the above said, I'm afraid I can't design you a logo, art was never my strong point. Have you considered doing something cool with one of Salvador Dali's images? That's perhaps the kind of thing that would appeal to the market you sound like you're targeting. :D

Setting up a separate site to appeal to a different customer base is a great idea. Like I said before I am not relying on people searching for 'British Horological Services' more on the keywords I will have on the site.

"We'll melt your ******* clock.com"?

Precisely! :D:D:D

If we can't fix it, nothing can.

EDIT - I've seen the separate website façade done with IT suppliers, different site, same contact address / payment details but totally different feel. Good luck!

Ahh watches, weren't they those things the Victorians used to tell the time back before everybody carried a mobile phone? :P

Joking aside how about this logo:

Now it may appear at first that I haven't put much effort into it, but hey at least I didn't just ask a bunch of strangers to do it for me or something :D

(no, I don't have a serious mode :P)
