This is a pre-order ONLY price and stock is due with us a week on Monday, this is an incredible price for a GTX 470, plus the fact these have 5yr warranty too. :)

Good price on theese, been running two in sli for a few months now, they can run hot/loud if your case cooling is iffy, but they oc like crazy, 800mhz on the core is practically a given on the 470's.

I would say its too expensive.

£125 would be about right.

The 470 is in between the 5850 and 5870. The 5850 is around £100 and the 5870 is around £150....

They are been sold way below what they should be though, we could easily slap £30 more on both those cards and still sell plenty. :)

But don't forget the current cheap Sapphire 5850 still doesn't has voltage tweak and the overclocking is a bit pants to be frank, with some stuggling to hit 800MHz on stock voltage. While there's be a saying that the Sapphire Trixx will have voltage tweak support for those cards, but even now it is nowhere in sight, and people have no idea if when it will be implemented, if ever.

A GTX470 overclocked to 800MHz will be faster than a 5870, if people are willing to overclock the higher power consumption and possible noise.

tempted to get two of these to replace a 580.
They are pretty powerful in sli, however youll need a decent quality 750w + psu, i can run mine at 800mhz on 1.012 volts, 750mhz on stock volts, (0.987), but even at the stock speed of 630mhz, (gigabyte oc models) they manage any game im playing with ease.

:D you know it makes sense.... ( just avoid that OCCT thing and enjoy the gaming ).
great price Gibbo

I have a 1kw :D
Out of curiosity, how strict are OcUK with removing the stock cooler? has anyone managed to get a card replaced that had a waterblock on it?
