1) Get a cheapo logitech.
2) Start saving your pennies.
3) Send the mouse back to logitech recycling, get a 20% discount voucher for their online store
4) Save ££
 
Seriously when I was 12, I started walking to and from school (50 minute both ways) to save my bus money to spend on CDs. Also I started eating the cheapest sandwiches I could find in the canteen to save more money.

During A levels, I stopped eating at the canteen altogether and just ate at home, and together with my EMA money bought myself a mobile phone and lots and lots of CDs.

I think I have a collection of around 400-500 CDs, about 300 of which were bought from saved bus and lunch money.

I started walking to town as well. My house was conveniently located exactly a 50 minute walk from schol in one direction, and town in the other :)

I used to walk for over 2 hours everyday on top of grinding an hour of karate practice most days of the week, no wonder I was a stone underweight and fit as a fiddle.

Seriously, when I was 12 I used to work on a building site to get extra money*.

During A levels I didn't get EMA, I had to actually work to get money to spend on stuff!

Shut up with the poor life story...;)

*Well sorta, more every so often working with my dad who was a builder...

One of friends also saved up for a playstation from £2 a week because his parents wouldnt buy him one lol.

I started applying for jobs when I was 16, and nowhere wanted me.

I don't want to win, just hate the whole "sob story" thing that comes up every so often (inc. obligatory parents "when I was a kid..." things).:p

Funnily enough I always used to be taken the **** out of by friends as I didn't work apparently (didn't do more than about 6-8 hours a week during A levels). The fact I worked on and off from about the age of 12 slipped past them... :D

Oh and OP (ad anyone young), forget the paperround, it's essentially slave labour (at least delivering the free ones is), get a job as a fruit picker in the summer months! Makes just the same amount of money but far nicer (started at 13 and was making around £10 an hour instead of the measly £2 for paperround!)
