Just got an Xbox 360 Slim...recommend me some games.

Hi guys,
I am going to be getting a Xbox Slim on friday and i am just looking now at some games to get.

Lookin at Gears of War 2 firstly as there is a cheap copy on the auction site. Do people recommend this game? I quite enjoyed the first but is the 2nd a good game?

What other games do people recommend?
I will be getting the usual Fifa, Call of duty but looking for something a bit different.

I dunno.. just go read reviews on giantbomb or something. Theres seems to be a "just got a (console), what games to buy?" thread every week.

Im more of a ps3 guy but all i can say to u is u got brains as you avoided the psn network failure....

Anyway as for games id totaly go for cod black ops hours of endless fun online.

I have both , I haven't bought it for that reason lol

I don't particularly like COD . I just get bored really quickly.

i look at cod more of an aracde console kiddies game my bfbc2 is more for seriousness on the pc for me ....

Another game for console is trying getting the new assassins creed brother hood....Highly recomend it.

mortal Kombat is just new out or if you like RPG type games you can pickup the game of the year versions of Fallout 3 or Dragon Age origins for next to nowt now. Oh mass effect 2 is pretty good too

Got the Xbox today and it came with Halo 3 and Halo Reach.

Do i need to play Halo 3 before Reach or does it not matter?

Really what you need to do is play Reach then Halo then Halo 2 then Halo 3 and fit in ODST somewhere round Halo 2 and 3
