Just looking for any suggestions here please:

Ford Ka wont start - no spark?
My friends Ka wont start it has no ignition spark and cannot hear starter motor clicking.

Car just died while being driven apparently lost power steering and the temp light went on and car just died.

Now will not start? Anybody any ideas please?

Thanks in advance

I Suspected ignition module / coilpack / leads etc but don't understand why the starter motor wouldn't do anythingl?

Cheers

Never knew power steering pumps had a temp light?

Are you sure it hasn't overheated and killed everything in sight?

it wont spark unless you turn the engine over :/

your description makes no sense tbh

Just passing information from a friend, don't shoot the messenger, just trying to help them out really, giving as much info as possible.

She said when she tried turning it over there was no click of the starter motor.

A friend came and tried to turn the engine over by bypassing the starter motor.

She also tells me she thought it was going to start but her friend told her there was no spark when he was looking at the engine

Am I being thick? How did he/she bypass the starter motor? Tried to turn it over by hand by turning the crank?

Or do you mean they took power straight to the starter motor?

Has the engine oil in it? Does the cooling system have anything in it?

You'll be wanting to fit some new alloys to it imo.

Maybe some new wipers too?

I assuming the one in bold - I wasn't there.

Not sure about oil or the cooling system, Im at home now, will look tomorrow. Cheers for the help

Tell her to firstly check for oil and coolant and get back to you.

Also check to see which warning lights are being shown.

urm, look at(remove sand and refit) the earth wires from engine+gearbox+alternator to car body and from battery to car body.

but saying that, the car is negative earth so to bypass the starter it would need a jump lead from battery + to starter terminal :/
theres electrical gremlins on that car somewhere
