Wanted to try something different instead of the car being outside in the sun all the time so visited a local car park once closed and took a few pics, I still have others to process that I will add to this thread when and as I have time, but this is what I have so far:-

Oh and aplogies for yet more pics of the same car but all I have to work with a the mo.

As usual C&C always welcome and thanks for looking. :)

Nice shots, but I think the first one with all that bright light off the to right spoils the 'dark/moody feel'. Perhaps it would have been better to shot the shot later at night?

Great car by the way, last time I saw one of those I was dealing with an RTC where the owner put it off the side of a major A class road - how he fitted it in between two trees I'll never know - car was a write off but he walked away. I did manage to find one of his wheel centres for him though....

Needs more brown tbh, its a bit too gleaming, bright and shiny for a dark urban feel. I'm no expert but a bit of color correction, higher contrast and saturation needed for that urban look.

They look great, really good infact but I don't think they quite hit the look your aiming for (I'm assuming your going for a look something like http://thehiat.blogspot.com/2010/12/urban-photography.html )

I think that's actually more Urban Decay...

@ OP

Nice shot's, although I wouldn't mind seeing the originals as I think they would be really fun to test out some different kinds of processing.

Aye as Ejizz commented on that's more Urban decay which I wasn't after, just a more urban/city look than the usual out in the sun I normally seem to do.

Looking good but try at night too!
Thanks and yeah I'd like to re-attempt these once dark to avoid all that sun light bleeding in.

Id hate to work with that car.......*sob*
Haha I didn't mean it like that, I do like taking pics of it but the same subject all the time does get boring. Need some new shapes/colours.

I may post up some smaller originals although I tend to avoid doing that as it shows how bad my original pics are. :p

Although on a slightly related note someone else asked for my editing steps so I threw this together as quick example:-

Ok, no problem, I understand as I'd feel similar about doing that also, but my point of view is, I may prefer the other persons processing or I may prefer my own, either way it's kind of a win - win, as your either going to feel more confident, or your going to learn something.
Anyway, went to morrisphoto today to pick up a new camera bag, on the way I spotted a really old charming but immaculate VW Beetle, so I'l probably head back to get a nice shot of it in the next few days, and I'l post a new thread.

Wasn't meaning full on urban decay, but I had the feeling by the reference to dark/moody urban you meant something a little more grimy, brown and matt heh.
