JDM Mitsubishi Lancer 1500cc

Why would you bother? As you say, it's a mundane family car.
Why not buy a UK car and not have to worry about parts?

Because it's massive inside, only done 19K and they're going to give me good part ex on a LHD peugeot 207 :)

I've moved into middle age (with a 7 week old baby and all her stuff) so need a big car. It'll also be used for camping trips and carryng mtn bikes

I really dont get this "I must impulse buy a massive car I dont really want because I have a child" thing. I have a 6 month old daughter and get by perfectly fine with a 3dr MkII golf.

indeed

the wife had a punto sporting and I a valver nova when our first was born, both were fine. went to an a4 avant when our second was born then back to a Cupra R now with 3 kids, and tbh its fine, although i'd imagine our Cupra is just as massive as a lancer :)

A Mitsubishi Lancer isnt massive inside.

Between the rear wheel arches there is usually lots of space inside for getting stuff in the boot... Thats why my dad got a Lancer estate - as he had an art gallery and was forever transporting pictures/frames etc and so needed the space. At that time, none of the Astra vans or equivalent had anywhere near the same amount of space width ways in the back.

Sadly the car was written off by yobs jumping on the roof:

Parts are no problem, they were sold in the UK too allbeit without that engine. It's basically the same as the 1.3 out of a colt/space star though.

It might have decent equipment, low miles and no rust at all, but 4k must get a better mondeo surely?
