Major news everyone. A rumor has circulated the internet over the past few hours that something big for Call of Duty will be announced tonight at Activision’s event later tonight. That’s right, big Call of Duty news will be announced tonight – but what will it be?

Rock, Paper, Shotgun states that their “sinister agents” (i.e. inside sources) have tipped them off that the next major installment, Modern Warfare 3, will be revealed tonight.

We will update this post regularly so check frequently. The good news is that we will know whether this rumor is true or not within a few hours.

They will keep making as long as people keep buying! I cant beleive its never been changed in anyway to make it more interesting, shame **** different title.
 
MW2 killed that series for me, didn't even look at Black Opps which is such a shame as I found MW and WAW great fun and a nice change from BF

Has to be said played WAW for longer simply because I found a clan server which had switched all the bloody stupid perks off :)
 
Oh great so now Activision can try to milk the masses with a new round of CoD propaganda.

Predictions... an Eminem track will feature in some sort of 15 sec preview trailer ;)

In all seriousness though, I really can't see MW3 being any good now it's confirmed Infinity Ward aren't involved. Sledgehammer are unproven. It'll just be a MW2 re-hash mixed with Black Ops features.

Like people are saying, BF3 all the way.
 
If BF3 wasn't coming out I'd probably end up buying the next COD purely to play something 'new' (lol), but as BF3 is on its way I really couldn't give two ****s about a new COD. I actually hate Activision as well.
 
Arsed, another rehashed, reskinned, same old engine, same old online gameplay but look! New Characters and story! I skipped the last one and i'll skip this one unless they put some real effor into it
 
PC gamers are hard to please. MW/COD is like a summer blockbuster, big story, big explosions but leaves you feeling ripped off at the end. Good while it lasts but then thats it. Its a one trick pony.

I really enjoyed MW2 sp and the online was great untill it became over run with hackers and constant air strikes.

COD4 MP is still the best one.
