I think she had a knock in it didn't she? That 'pristine' feel to a new car is often murdered when your car first receives some damage - chips, scratch, bump etc.

daughter needs to learn to appreciate what shes got and be more practical, instead of "i want i want i want". let her get to learn road experience and in a couple of years then think about a fancy big merc.
