It's just nice to bash CoD. Not for what it is, but for the horrible affect it's had on PC fps in modern years. Gone are the pacey, skill and reflex driven arcadey shooters - Quake, UT, RTCW/ET ... even CS - and in their place we have slooow, spammy, who sees who first wins lottery shooters. Thank science for Valve. If it wasn't for TF2 and L4D I would have hung up my mouse years ago. And to the guy who jested about Halo above - even that's a big step up from MW, being a considerably more demanding and involved mp fps.

There's nothing wrong with CoD - just give us proper 'pc' fps too!
 
I don't even play the mp any more on any of these games, never bothered after MW1.

Played single player missions on them all, and if I get blown up and dazed or have to jump for a ledge, miss and get caught by a comrade once more I'll have to find the developers and hit them with my keyboard. You know, I don't think I could tell the difference between the games any more regarding single player.

All i ever wish for in a new COD game is for it to have a longer single player game but thats probably never going to happen.

So let me guess, BF3 will be the one that changes things around? :rolleyes:

If they give MW3 the support they gave CoD4 (mod tools/promod) then quite frankly MW3 would be good.

Then again, I don't have high hopes for new FPS's that are being introduced this year...

It might be as good as COD4, but COD4 was something a bit different at the time. Releasing basically the same game just with different perks and maps every year for 4 years doesn't make it a good game. Apparently technology doesn't advance any more.

This is exactly the point, it's like people like to get ****** in the **** by Activision and even enjoy bragging about it on the Interwebs.

You don't start jumping around like crazy when Nvidia replaces their 8800GT with 9800GT.

what? BC2 is NOTHING like BF2. im hoping the gameplay is LIKE BF2 and NOT BC2. Because if BF3 is more or less BC3, i wont bother as they are heading towards teh "COD" way of doing things

Come on, it's clearly different. CoD is literally the exact same engine with no changes made whatsoever again and again.

You've just lost all credit in the discussion by claiming that BF series is anything like BC2.

They're all better than CoD for that matter but that doesn't make them the same.

Also, BF3 will use a different engine to both BFBC2 and BF2.
 
I've yet to even play Black Ops. Didn't have the cash to buy it when it released, and just got told bad things by friends.

Anyway, it would be nice to see some news on the new CoD.

only difference is activision are bigger so get more hate its that simple.
 
Hate it when people say BF is better than COD... they are different games lol... each is good at what it does... well was good until they released black ops and made a few retarded decisions with MW2 (tho the core game is very good).
