Hey,

I currently have a Gigabyte X58A-UD3R and although it has 3 PCI-E Slots the top 2 are too close together and the bottom one runs at 4x.

I'm looking for get another GTX470 and want to run SLI but all the motherboards I have looked at all seem to be single spaced PCI-E ports.

My question is what board would you guys recommend to run SLI preferably 16x/16x with a slots space inbetween the PCI-E ports.

I do not need the third PCI-E slot at all.

I usually buy Asus

Thanks

the first review on the 'more reasonably priced' board is this;

"One star off for making the top 2 slots the 16x pcie ones because my gtx480s get upto 100c because of it and slot 3 is only 4x pcie so throttles about 20% off the 2nd cards speed."

Thats exactly what I'm trying to avoid.

Overclockers don't seem to stock many of these types of boards which is odd, If you where looking at the 1155 based boards however there is wider range like this.

I have 2 GTX 480 and theres plenty of space between 1 and 2. After the fan edge theres at least an inch if not a bit more between them.

and you ready for TRI in the future :)

Very good.

Now how would the OP fit their Socket 1366 processor into a Socket 1155 motherboard?

Perhaps you should concentrate on your own problems:

And what happened to your Lego?

Using an asus p6t dlx v2 here with sli 470's, slot spacing is pretty decent.
