new to ATI -which drivers etc to install?

Got a 5830 arriving early next week. What software do i need to install? I'm assuming CCC & driver -is this right? Never had an ati card before
Which driver version is best at present?

Ps. Rest of rig will be upgraded next month to either Clarkdale or Sandybridge.

Choose the correct drivers for your operating system from here:

http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx

Install the Catalyst Software Suite from the top of the driver page.

Then install the latest ATI Catalyst Application Profiles from the bottom of the driver page (if applicable).

Like I said, Im new to ati -just didnt want to fall into any pitfalls by installing new but crap drivers.

I wouldn't worry about it.

"The latest" is the correct answer but there's no harm in asking the question and being shown where to find them.

There are always some people who moan that the latest drivers are worse than previous ones but I've been using ATI cards for a few years and never had any problems using their drivers.
