I didn't know quite where to post this but here will do.

Basically I have noticed recently that when I turn on my PC, sometimes there will be what seems like a long beep (maybe 2 seconds) and then you will get the POST beep. There doesn't seem to be a problem but I am not sure. There must be an explanation for it.
It will happen say 1 in every 10 switch ons and would be nice to know what it is being caused by. Any help or advice would be great.

Thanks in advance.

I can't seem to find anything concrete on this so for now I would suggest pulling out the video card (if present) and only using one stick of RAM and see if there is no beep. The beeps indicate a hardware issue somewhere so it might be a case of eliminating the possibilities one at a time.

Cheers for the info, The process of doing that though wont give me a solid culprit because like I said, it happens for say every 1 in 10 switch ons. I will have to figure something out though.

Cheers for your help

This is for the rev.1 board.

Incase you couldn't read the above.
I'm not blind ha
Originally I thought it was one long beep then the POST beep, but reading that image (Emitted during the POST) means it could be 1 long 1 short which means its throwing up a memory/motherboard error.

The question is, why would it be doing this every so often, its playing on my mind now. Hmmmmmmm...

As said, try different configurations with your current set of hardware over a period of about 2 - 4 days and see how it behaves?

I just read yours is a long beep, mine's only very short.

You can hear it from 17seconds, I get a very short beep then the normal beep.

Yeah that is very short. I would record mine but as I have said, it rarely happens. I don't think there is anything to worry about to be honest with mine and your computers. Everything seems to be working fine and no errors are being flagged.

Have you tried running memtest86+
Also, I did try this and everything seems to be okay
