Is PSN under attack? - PSN now back up 15/05

Things are getting bad...I've just gone back and completed the single player on Medal of Honour...oh the shame :(

Seems to have been quite a bizarre afternoon in here though I guess the saying 'the devil makes work for idle hands' lies true.

I never knew I was so infamous that I have a few virtual stalkers, to say Im shocked would be a lie :p. Least they werent out in the open today where I was shooting recurve as Im getting pretty good...

Indeed, Atleast most of ps3ud0's posts don't appear to be OTT spam
Wrong! Though avoiding GD just doesnt give me as many a chance - but you can see I get the opportunity here occasionally :)
I was just having alittle joke with him. He can sign off with a picture of his penis for all I care.
It can be arranged, but for the Barry Hines fans Ill leave you with this:

'Hands off Sydney; on socks'

It wont bemuse the semi-illiterate :p (hint Ken Loach)

A group of friends at work who are not really into the latest computers and consoles and buying all the latest games and certainly wouldn't be on forums like this. But they do have PS3's and play games like COD and Fifa and that's about it really. All they're interested in is meeting up online and playing COD with each other after work.

Last Tuesday a couple of them decided they've had enough with the PSN fiasco and bought cheap (sub £100) second hand XBOX's and a copy of black ops and are happy enough. Now the rest are talking about selling up and moving over to XBOX as they're worried about future security and unreliability of PSN.

Now I'm a big gamer and own all consoles and wouldn't get rid of my PS3 but I'm not a typical PS3 user but I do feel my friends are and if this is a typical trend Sony could be in big trouble. My biggest fear about Sony going down the pan would be the exclusive games, I'm hoping if the worst happens (which I'm 90% sure it won't) that Sony's exclusives find there way to XBOX etc.

I would move but like the bluray and the controller. I find the downtime annoying but not annoying enough to pay out more money for a 360.

So what is everyone going to play when it's back up then?

So far I have completed a couple of games, Fable II and III, done half of Dead Space and gotten the plat on Ratchet and Clank and Fallout NV.

I'll probably play some of Bulletstorm online :)

I have both a 360 and a PS3, but only use the PS3 online - but im not going to jump over and get a live sub.

its not like sony are still keeping PSN down on purpose to annoy people.

I also do get the this "wouldnt happen if it was a paid for service, its never happened to the 360 etc"

If we had all payed for the service the exact same thing would have happened,

Mortal Kombat, had plenty of time to polish combos with the downtime =)

Bit wierd but I think Ill be doing the same thing as now - I dont play that many online games (FIFA and KZ3 currently) so its not been that bad. I do miss the whole online community as we are always messaging and the like and its a good distraction while playing a game or something...

Its just nice to see what others are playing - bit sad I know :p. My PS3 gets used a lot but thats because of PlayTV aswell as gaming...

I think myself lucky that I didnt buy Portal 2 on the PS3 - still not played it but can understand not being able to link it to Steam would be very frustrating - wonder if that will come back up when PSN does or when the Store finally does?
