I bought a canvas print from TK Maxx the other day but I am having a hard time attaching it to the wall in a way that looks good.

Because it came from TK Maxx it of course had nothing on the back to attach it with. I tried screwing two eye screws into it and using a wire and a hook but it makes it hang off the wall too far for my liking. I am looking for a way to have it attached to the wall as flat as possible.

I was thinking somehow attaching it to the wall from the middle of the cross bit? Does anyone know of a good way of doing this and where I can buy it from? Thanks

This is the back of it:

And this is the front if anyone's interested:

I have something similar and just nailed a couple of spirit-levelled nails into the wall. The picture sits flush to the wall and it's only light so it shouldn't fall off. Easiest possible way of getting it up on the wall tbh!

Obviously, if you're going to be drilling or nailing into a wall you have to check for pipes and wires behind :D

I stuck the GFs up with blue-tak. It works. It's easy. And it supports it because the pic (just like yours, but a different design) is light weight.

It'll come off easily too when dusting.

I wouldn't stick a jackson pollock up with blu tack. You should really invest in some kind of alarm system too. Congrats by the way, it's a beautiful picture.

It has a huge lip all around the frame, one screw into the wall sticking out about 1/2 a cm, possibly more depending on death of frame, hang on.

This. I have done it with the canvases in the lounge and bedroom.

Just use one, that way you don't need to get two screws exactly level, can just balance. Needs to be reasonably strong though. Tried doing it with just some plastic thumb pin things and they just snapped the plastic head after a few weeks.

I hung a 130cm*90cm canvas the other week using eye hooks, wire and hooks on the wall. I found to get the picture to hang close to the wall the hooks needed to be fairly close to the top of the picture. I think that I had them ~5cm down the sides from the bottom edge of the top strut and screwed into the side of the frame so the eyes were parallel to the canvas itself.

I actually used 4 eyes, two on the outer struts and then two either side of the middle strut, then the wire was fed through all four and tied with little slack. This means that there was less deviation in the wire as it was fixed in the centre as well. Then two hooks were used (one in the middle of each section).

It was a bit of a git to put up (requiring two people) but hangs nice and flat against the wall now.

Thats the exact way my canvases in my living room and bedroom are hung. Nice and simple and works! :)
