If I have Steam should the January transfer window have updated autimatically or do I need to do something for myself for it to work?

I'm trying to play it but its soooooo complex now and it (at least seems) to take a lot of effort to get anywhere, haven't played one in years and used to love being able to nip on for an hour and get somewhere. Is this possible anymore?
 
Does anyone else's FM freeze during matches? Doesn't happen all the time but it can happen two or three times a match for me. Going of the specs of my computer, it should be able to play FM without any issues. Doesn't happen when I play other games.

I get that sometimes. The screen just pauses then the Windows loading mouse icon, animated circle, appears. Give it a few seconds and then it carries on. My spec isn't as good as yours but its still a quad-core on W7 with 8GB of RAM. Shouldn't be a problem. I think its probably a coding issue with FM rather than your PC.

Since the update, mine does freeze amd shouldn't. It didn't before the update. It freezes during matches for seconds and then carries on.

On another note...(i will do screenshots) im Swansea and we just became Champions of the Championship with promotion to the Premiership on our first season. Where in the final of the FA CUP after beating MAN CITY 1-1e & 11-10 on penalties! What a game. Now got Chelsea in the Final :)

Started a game with Crawley :)

Got a few loans and signings in, got some youth striker from spurs who is great. First 4 games had 3 wins and a disapointing 1-1 away draw had 2 goals disallowed :(

Going to get promoted though. Come on!!!
 
Ive started as stafford rangers, first week in first season was docked 10 points for money problems, few players had to go. Managed to finish 16th media prediction 15th so i was happy considering id of been 9th if i had those 10 points. Pretty much got a new team for my second season, won 6-0 at home against eastwood who finished 5th the season before. Looking promising, hope to get promoted because another season in this league and my money troubles will come back even though im only using 1.2k on wages.
 
just started a new game with queens park

scottish 3rd division and a 50 thousand all seater stadium ;) should be good for some cup ties in the future lol

currently have no transfer budget 0 wage budget and a squad of cobbled together amateurs spl here we come

To get Kaka or to not? :/ (Real don't want him and he's got an asking price of 9.5 million)

Am in 2019-2020 season with Portsmouth. 4th consecutive season in Europe (Last 32 in EL, Last 32 in EL, Quater Finals in CL, currantly in Group Stages in EL).

Find it soooooooo hard to sign decent RB and LB. Sold a regen RB for 12.75M, though I had made a good deal, but tirns out I made a terrible deal, as he was actually not bad and promising, and anything like him costs 20M++
 
I had the urge to re-download this through Steam. Just started a new game as Borussia Dortmund, they have such a pathetic transfer budget, I haven't been able to bring in any of my summer transfer targets so I guess I'll have to wait until January, hopefully the board will give me a little cash so I can buy a better right back. I'll post some stuff when I get a bit further into the season. :)
 
what sort of settings are people using in the premiership ? my squad is underperforming yet again , just leak loads of goals

is the tactics wizard/creator thing my problem ?
 
I am annoyed, Rooney has just come back from a 3 game suspension after cutting Frank Lampard in half in an epic 3-3 draw at Stamford bridge.

He finishes his suspension and should be available after the international break, other than the fact he goes away with the England squad, and get this, falls awkwardly during training and hurts spine, so he is out for, wait for it............... FOUR MONTHS.

4-4-2.

Normal line, lots of width, no time wasting, high tempo, fluid movement, more expressive, more aggressive, no offside, counter attack= yes, attacking mentality.

2 wing backs on automatic.
One centerback stopper.
One ball playing defender.
Ball winning midfielder= defend.
advanced playmaker/Box to midfielder= support (depending on available personel)
2 attacking Wingers.
One complete striker.
One advanced striker.

In match settings:
retain possession
exploit flanks.

Thats normally enough to beat everyone bar chelsea, who you have to slow the play right down and waste loads of time on.

Halfway through my first season with Crawley. Five points clear at the top above Afc WImbledon and Luton.

Doing well though had to develop a more solid second tactic as my gung ho style made me lose all 3 games against the other top 4 teams :( Luckily I generally put the rubbish teams to be without too much bother.

well just finished my first season as champions woot


BUT i have found out that queens park cannot go any higher than amateur due to hard coding in the game :( epic failure going to try and set them as part time with fmrte so i can continue my climb of the leagues
 
Ok...so, I played Chelsea in the FA CUP FINAL and WON!!! :o

We won 1-0 and had a lob of their keeper hit the cross bar! Gutted :)
I played Defensive with 5-4-1, closed down all Strikers, Midfielders and J.Terry. On the brake, they couldn't handle us! :)

I'm now in the Premiership and in reality the teams that go up get MILLIONS of £££'s. So, where are the millions that I should be getting? :(

I can't make any new signings in this transfer window before the start of the season. :(
I have signed Dembéle though for £575K with extras but even that been prosponed for 1 week as I can't afford it :(

Another question I have...when I look at the transfers and go in to their stats...the - (dashes), does that mean they don't have any skill in that area or is it that they haven't been scouted yet so don't show up?
