If you don't have an iPhone...

I did but seeing how Apple broke the law and then got ratted out for it and they then lied about it and oh all of a sudden change there softwear to stop doing something they said it wasn't i don;t have an iPhone

Well im not an apple customer

Nokia 6230 from 2001 ***

I assume you are talking about the "tracking" if so you are completely wrong.

Oh?

My Galaxy S II says otherwise
!

I tried one in CPW it still feels far too plasticy for my liking but I DO want an Android phone when it comes to renewal time.
Like with anything though, it's a "hassle" to change from what you're used too and I love what I got now. I just like fiddling with new things.
+ Retina display has spoiled me.

Yep, umm if i was i'd check with OFCOM, ORANGE & Apple @ Cribs as i was able to get a refund on the fone, free iPad, termination of contract and letter of appology. I never agreed for it to recored or share my location data.

Apple had no plans for 4.3.3. untill this vid came out which now means 4.4 will carry the updates, changes properly needed and 4.3.3 installed faster than any past update and applies to every iPhone, with location options in Verzona which most updates do not

I find most iPhone/iPad adverts annoying. How I actually feel about the product is totally irrelvant to the ad, I just think they're silly and the music gets my goat. Wasn't there a parody ad on some time last year? Perhaps someone can remember what that was.

I had the 2G iPhone which was great, but then had issues with the home button and the speaker became very quiet too. Bought a 3G off my mate, then a few months later the phone kept stating 'no sim installed'. Sold that off and now just balancing between a Nokia E72 and a ZTE Blade. I can't figure out which one I want to keep because the E72 is quite a business phone but enjoy texting on a keyboard, whilst the blade has many cool features, but find texting really annoying.

I find that the biggest feature that companies seem to be selling is their app store/market etc. To be fair, there are only a few apps that I truly care about. I really don't want to waste my time messing with random applications when I can be doing something more interesting.

The contract said that they could share your location though.

Pretty sure Android users were being tracked too. I personally don't care, I'm not a terrorist or up to no good so I don't give a hoot if my phone is tracked.

I saw a guy on a train with an ipad2, looked at it thought "great, well done." He was looking at people begging them to ask about it.... 2 teenage hoody thugs did and he spewed the specs at them.. i died inside...

Nah, UK law prevents tracking and is allowed only by means of the home office ie spookes Mi5 and Mi6. It smartly worded in all our UK network contracts. There is no contract when you by the iPhone (ie as phone only).

The UK networks do not even recored it, they just recored when and what you call or txt'd which is used for billing.

These threads are good for OCUK, think how many people have to buy new keyboards after seeing the word Apple.

When I first saw this 'if you don't have an iphone' advert on TV, it annoyed the hell out of me - it still does. It's so pretentious and pretty much sums up the snob attitude that people who have such items adopt.

I have no clue about the law but I thought when you start the device for the first time you have to agree to the contract?

...Well, you don't have an iPhone.

*sarcasm

I remember seeing that advert the other day, when he says "If you don't have an iphone", I thought what clever **** is he going to say next.

"Well, you don't have an iphone."

No **** sherlock.

Stupid ad is stupid.

They aren't bad phones its just that quite a chunk of the people that buy them are a bit derp when it comes to technology.

Great products but sadly the company is marred by sickening advertising campaigns which, worse still, have turned a percentage of their user base into sickening people.
