So...shopping yesterday in my local Tesco and after putting some fruit in my trolley I felt something crawling up my arm, looked down and this unknown spider was climbing up my arm! I brushed it off (after screaming like a girl) and managed to get a picture.

Someone I know from school who knows a thing or two about spiders has pointed out it could well be a brown recluse and if that is the case I am very lucky (after looking on google, if it was then I defo am!).

One sign that Wikipedia says is you can tell a recluse by the 'violin' pattern on their back...I am pretty sure I can just make this out in the picture.

But if any spider buffs can identify this that would be great....

All I know is that if that thing had been on my arm I would have screamed my man **** off and probably trashed an entire isle with all my flailing around and freaking out.

No. The chelicerae are too big, the legs are too thick-set and the cephalothorax is not round enough. Looks like a woodlouse spider (commonly found indoors), which can bite but is pretty much harmless.
