If you don't have an iPhone...

And there we have it. iPhones are for simple people who don't understand things which leads to fear, which leads to hate, which leads to suffering!

Orrrrr, who can't be bothered to faff about with tinkering software. TIME IS MONEY MY FRIEND TIME IS MONEY!

I don't get all the people saying you have to root/modify Android to be able to customise the phone, that's completely wrong, the majority of the screens in the mobile desktop thread can be done on completely stock, unrooted phones by changing the launcher and icons and adding some widgets.

Where's almost all iphones look the same except the wallpaper and no apps from the appstore will change that fact.

Don't think I'd pay £45 a month when I can get the same deal on a HTC Desire S for around £22.

Nice phones, but way overpriced and overhyped.

I bought an iPhone as I wanted a Phone that had Facebook and a mp3 player like an iPod.

Had my 3G for nearly 3 years, in that time it's lost it's Vibrate button and the buttons for the volume have fallen off. It still does the job, but it is kind of slow so I may purchase a iPhone 4.

They're good phones, no faffing about work out of the Box. Simple.

I'd expect Any phone I buy to work out the box :D.

I want my phone to be locked down. After all it has GPS, a camera, microphone and all other sorts of gubbins. I don't want some randomer able to push out any old app that could be doing god knows what.

When I first saw this 'if you don't have an iphone' advert on TV, it annoyed the hell out of me - it still does. It's so pretentious and pretty much sums up the snob attitude that people who have such items adopt.

Apple is pretentious, and some who own apple products are also pretentious, however they're not directly related. I own a few apple products, but I'm not pretentious, and I hate them as a company. :p

Their advertising annoys the crap out of me as well.

It's funny how Apple are now in the position Microsoft were in a few years ago, where they are unpopular with the 'cool kids' because they're doing so well.

I recently got an Iphone 4 because I couldn't get the 12 month contract I wanted on the Android phones I was interested in - all the phone shops were pushing Android over Apple to me, so my suspicious nature makes me wonder if they get more commission compared to iPhones....

doesn't all advertising annoy everyone, or at least 99% of advertising. It's funny how people pick faults with apple, which are inherent with most companies. Hmm wonder if there's an underlying reason.
Why not just use the product that suits your needs and not worry about trends.

They are overpriced on contracts because the mobile companies charge stupid fees, the phones themselves are fairly well priced when you consider everything.

Not really, it is the same as ever. The people with a good buying sense, i.e going for something that reflects their usage will go for some cheap phone if they have better things to be doing than playing an app. While the cool kids will go for an iphone regardless. I don't see the cool kids going for any other than Apple still, on one of my courses the only people that have androids are the dorks.

I thought that Google do audit the apps? If they do, I don't see any more risk over the app store.
