Long story put short, would I see any difference in performance by moving my card from the 16x PCI-E slot to the 8x PCI-E slot? I'd like to move my sound card to another PCI slot as it's quite a tight fit right now on top of the gfx card and very close to the RAM, so I wanted to move it to the PCI slot under the gfx card however that's being blocked, so the only alternative is to move the gfx card to the PCI-E 8x slot at the bottom of the mobo.

Any help will be appreciated.

There will be very little difference mate i had 2 470s on x58 board running 16x16 and then had them on the one in my sig 8x8 and didnt notice anything .
