Portal 2 - pretty damn funny?

I've never played Portal, and i bought the Orange Box 2-3 years ago, it hasn't looked appealing.

Some great lines in it like when I (accidentally) launched a cube in a faith plate that hit the screen Wheatly was on and broke the glass and he said something like: Aww, bless your little primate brain. I'm not actually in the room, you know, technology! Can't hurt the big old god face.

Portal 2 was a brilliant game, it may have been a bit on the easy side, but the voice acting was fantastic. I also loved the way that the test chambers sort of came to life as you stepped into them. The best part of the game was the door that said 'GLADos emergency shutdown and cake dispensory'.

Haha yeah I laughed at that. Except it was me flying through the air, not a cube!

How much more game is there, i just started chapter 2 :o and does the funny robot that gets knocked out by the big scary female robot come back :o

Loved Portal 2- completed it the other day.

Love Glados' comment about coming out of cryogenic freeze:

"Congratulations, not on the test though. Most people come out of extended cryogenic sleep malnourished, but you have beaten the odds and managed to pack on a few pounds."

Followed by "Now waddle over here"

I hadn't ever felt drawn to Portal at all (like Wes) and then I read all the positive things that were being said about Portal 2 so I thought I'd give the first one a try. Totally loved it so bought the sequel. Possibly the best 30 quid I've spent in ages. Fantastic game, challenging and hugely entertaining and the additions to the gameplay mechanics over the first are great. The voice acting and script writing will surely set a new benchmark for games.

Absolutely loved both of them. The humour is better in Portal 2 though, I reckon. The challenges weren't really THAT challenging in either, though there were a couple that you had to think slightly differently from the normal thinking with portals. :)

Would definitely buy a Portal 3 without thinking twice should one appear. :D

Finally finished it last night. Haven't been abl eto play as much as I wanted past week or so. But awesome ending.

Apart from a few of the puzzles beign too easy. Which I associated with having played the first a lot and becoming familiar with the mechanics. ("Now your thinking with portals"), and the annoying ploy of "Let's make this mission difficult by giving you one usable area to place your portal on, then hiding it in a mass of bits you can't put it on."

Very good game otherwise. roll on coop :p

I found it boring to be truthful.

Although I did find myself grinning regularly upon completing some of the more thought provoking tests.
I'm glad I'm not the only one. I stuck with it and played it all the way through, but I'm already fairly confident that I'll never go back to it.

Haven't had the chance to play a lot but what i've played up to now - amazing.

Valve do it again!

And the graphics are very very good considering how old the Source engine is now.

5 Stars!
