Landlord/house issues

damp/mold
potentially dangerous to your health so I'd get the landlord to sort that ASAP!

Landlord keeps telling us its condensation and not to worry. We've treated it and painted the whole room twice since last year and this re-appears after about 2 months every time.

you should worry for your health. shocking attitude from the landlord there. this could be caused by a number of things and it's the landlords job to sort it. looks disgusting aswell, tell him to sort it out. he wouldn't get any tennants in if he was advertising it with this problem so he shouldn't let it remain just because you are already in a tenancy agreement.

Damp, ether rising or through the roof. If there is a property next door and the roof joins over that wall it could be there. It's his issue to deal with and the law is very much on your side about it! It could also be structal now

it can be condenstation, (and probablly is) i had the same thing recently

after much research i am installing a machine that sucks in air and pumps it around the property to get rid of it

The centre looks wet, it doesn't look like condensation. Possible water pipes or anything behind it.

the centre can be wet from condensation

i had exactly the same thing. i had many many companies come to check for damp and leaks and they all said it was condensation

Your neighbour is growing cannabis in their bedroom, causing the cold air in your bedroom to condense on the wall.

Either that or a leaking pipe as above. Horrific and the spores of this nasty stuff are terrible for your lungs! If there's brick behind it, I'm not sure how it could be condensation. Maybe a cold cavity against the warm air in your bedroom??

GET IT RESOLVED WITH THE LANDLORD NOW. It's time to play hardball.

Yeah your land lord really needs to get this sorted, especially with it being in a bedroom, I definitely would not want to sleep in there with all those spores floating around!

If it's condensation, make sure the room gets ventilated often; once the damp has been treated, of course.

it works the other way around with condensation

you treat the cause of the condenstaion first and then the damp and mold will dry out by itself

you can then brush it off and there are paints you can use to treat the wall
