New Fans for H50

so the vipers have been proven to have better static pressure than the gentlre typhoons and give better temps ?

I am getting a pair of vipers tomorrow, so I'll report back once they are installed.

It seems that a lot of people here have used them, and people in the reviews have used them for Coolermaster H series, so I think they are a safe bet!

Well I cant find any reviews to direct compare the two. Im sure the specs (not that they mean much these days.....) show that the apache has 2.64 static pressure, the viper has 2.98 static pressure.

Isnt the 1850rpm GT meant to have 2.1 static pressure? There is a user review here that cover the apache and gt as well as others.

TBH I'm tearing my hair out trying to decide push/pull 2x viper, apache or 1450rpm GT for my ECO ALC and either apache or GT 1450rpm for case fans to replace the stock cooler master fans :s

HELP^^

I can confirm that the Vipers don't work for me.

I installed 2 on my H70 (blowing air form from the outside, in)
My temps went up, so I am very confused tbh!

I take it there was no re-seating involved and the extra temps recently were taken into account?

Don't matter how powerful the fans are on the H50 rad as it's too small to do much more than modest cooling. Well you could run some industrial fans off a separate power supply with some ducting etc but within the limits of what is possible with 120mm fans and what you buy an H50 for over a air setup in the first place ( i.e noise). I run 2 Gentle typhoons in push pull ( air going into case) but the cooling is no better at 100% speed than it is at 70% speed - however at 70% it's much quieter so I'd go with whatever fans are the quietest. If you want significantly better cooling on an H50 - fit a better ( bigger) radiator.

Try it the other way round blowing the hot air from the H70 out , as long as you airflow in your case is alright.

Thats the way i do it exracting air out, i think if its taking in air then it sucks in warm air rising from my graphics card but thats just my thoughts

I have a HAF X case, so air flow shouldn't be a problem!

I guess I can give it a go turning them around, but the general concensus is haviing them the way I have now is the best.

It could always be ambient temps too..

Current temps are 34 - 37 - 39 - 36 (idle), but the lows are 28 - 30 - 34 -31

I have top 120mm fans extracting out.

I set the ALC ECO sucking IN COLD air from the back of the case, blowing it INTO the case and straight out the TOP.

lowered temps by 5C.

as above....

Air from outside the case in.... but that air flows straight into two extracting fans at the top of the case...

Hi again, l had the H50 the H70 is just a bigger version, tried both ways exhausting the air was better for temps, as long as your air flow in your case is all right you should not have any problems.
