The state of technology in 10 years time?

the worlds countries will lie in ruins and we shall see the corporations take over.

ww3 will be fought by fanbois with nvidia/ati tech moving from gpus to state of the art weaponry







which will no doubt be rather rubbish due to poor driver support and nvidia bringing out fermi2 as a WMD
 
Well if you look back 10 years or so, people would probably of been asking the same questions while downloading on their 100 - 400 kb PS, their ugly looking PC's, slow, poor/bland presentation etc etc.

Then you look at what we have 10 years later, it's hard to predict it now to be honest.
Tech is always blowing your mind, so apart from the fact that much of the obvious will be improved .. I find it a hard one to call tbh.
 
My screen will be a 30 inch sheet of glass specially nanoengineered to refract light from millions of tiny lasers at the base of it into a flawless, crystal clear image, that slides star trek style into my desk. :p
 
Fiber broadband for 95% of the UK
1Tb SSDs mainsteam for OS and data
Only one "box" under the TV to combine PVR, Blu-rays, Media Streaming, HD-TV, Internet
Console gaming moves to the Cloud
 
And we won't be able to afford to buy any of it because utility bills will zap all our wages!

Gas & Electric is set to rise another 25% this year :(

How Fast??? I was lucky to get higher 48kbps in 2001. Broadband was only 512kbps, and so niche that it barely mattered.

I wonder if the GHz war will resume?
