Modular PSUs seem very expensive at the moment. Do you absolutely need a modular one? If you could just cable-tie the left over cables and put them in the bottom of your case you'll save a fair bit. There's a 600w Corsair Builder Series one for £54.98 on here, or a Corsair Gaming Series one for £67.99.

I'm using it right now with no problems - I just can't run my overclock because I didn't have the 8pin CPU power cable.

I'm only selling it because I had no idea it was such a risky PSU to use + I'm going to upgrade my graphics set up so want a higher wattage PSU (planning on SLI in future).

I'm not throwing a working product in the bin !

Just did a quick search on the forum for my PSU and up comes a post with people talking about how their Hiper 580's have blown up and taken out their CPU's & graphics cards with them.

My Hiper 580 worked for years and i used to say there is nothing wrong with them. I sold my pc to a mate and a few weeks later he phoned me to tell me he went to make a cup of tea and when he went back to his living room it was filled with black smoke. Yes, the hiper had blown up.

Did he have a more power-hugry setup compared to the one you were using ?

Also ... did it take out any of his components or were they fine ?

I can't wait to remove mine from the case now.

You say you're using it no with problems, the title of this thread says different. The title of your thread is "My graphics card seems to have lost performance." Has this problem been fixed? Untill you prove your power supply isn't the problem how can you sell it?

Oh and I doubt the cpu power cable is the issue again most likely your power supply.

At the moment there is a lot of guessing going on, I would try a new psu and if you can overclock and fps is fine/better then I would safely say it's the psu.

I had an issue recently with performance, turns out that using a proper driver cleaner when upgrading Drivers is pretty important. Driver Cleaner Pro.
