Just did a quick search on the forum for my PSU and up comes a post with people talking about how their Hiper 580's have blown up and taken out their CPU's & graphics cards with them.

My Hiper 580 worked for years and i used to say there is nothing wrong with them. I sold my pc to a mate and a few weeks later he phoned me to tell me he went to make a cup of tea and when he went back to his living room it was filled with black smoke. Yes, the hiper had blown up.

I'm using it right now with no problems - I just can't run my overclock because I didn't have the 8pin CPU power cable.
I'm only selling it because I had no idea it was such a risky PSU to use + I'm going to upgrade my graphics set up so want a higher wattage PSU (planning on SLI in future).
I'm not throwing a working product in the bin !
