My Audi TT Toy

I hope this thread doesn't turn into another 'nova situation'.

It is a little odd, the truth is being stretched somewhere.

Gone back to uni at 23, now 24 yet has lots of cars going off his signature which seem pretty pointless.

Audi TT Coupe - Which had basic upgrades until last year, then extensively modified while at uni with several thousands of upgrades.

VW Sirocco 1.4TSI - Bought but "rented" to mother as she has a Passat.

VW Lupo 1.7SDI - Why?

Skoda Fabia SDI. - Why?

Honda CB1300

apart from all the other dubious content I can't believe nobody pounced on :

585hp from a gt35 setup

pull the other one its got small FMIC on it

We don't even have an engine bay photo to go off since the best photos he could find to post had his finger over the lense!

If you did have a TT with such claimed power then surely there would be some more information available online on it.....

More here.

Its a fair point to raise. 600bhp is generally the top end ceiling for a GT35, but does beg the question why its been quoted as a GT30 variant in another thread. Hope it is a typo as I'll eat my hat if a GT30 will flow enough for 585.

at Swansea Met Uni doing motorsport engineering,

If I could retrain, I'd love to do that course. A few of the lads I used to race RC cars with were on that course. One works for Pirelli F1 and the other works for Ford R&D - he used to fly on a private jet back and for to Germany every month. (he told me 2 years before the RS came out that it was going to be FWD only and no one believed me)

Nice car. Not sure why everyone is jumping down this guys throat.

Because it seems like hes having us on?

It seems that all he does is join forums, posts his massive "spec" list and some photos and nothing else?

If he contributes, comes back and explains a bit more im sure he will be more than welcome.

Sparco Pole Positions FIA approved ( 7kg each)

Recaro surely?

because the story has got more than a few holes in it,

in the other ocuk thread it has this spec (http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=19099336&postcount=4)
Eurospec 14lb crank
Supertech Valve train,1mm oversized inlet and exhaust - Springs, Collects retains the works Cams
RS4 Throttle body
GT35 based Owns IHI - WRC Cartridge, largest Turbine wheel and housing.
Turbular top mount equal leength top mount manifold
DTA S60 managment
Pro alloy FMIC - 70mm pipework
Boss Racing Inlet manifold

yet here it has this spec
Eurospec Billet crank 14lb with bolts
CNC big valve head. 1mm over sized valves inlet and exhaust (Supertech valve train)
80mm Throttle body
GT35 Hybrid by Owens (Largest compressor wheel of the 3 and the WRC Cartridge)
Top Mount Tubular Race Manifold
Dynatwist intake (added 9bhp dyno back to back over stock drilled box with pipercross filter)
Forge FMIC (Too Small will be changed) Need a Pro alloy with 70mm pipework.

sounds schizophrenic at the very least, and these threads were posted within minutes of each other....

I don't really care if it seems rude to question his authenticity, as was just proven in the TBL thread people come here and just lie about owning cars they don't. There are more than enough details which don't add up hence the points I've raised issue with.

would you prefer to have a forum with integrity and trust or one where we are surrounded by liars and charlatans who don't know their arse from their elbow.
