The Mill = 7/10, loses on looking too processed (the pipe along the wall, wall just below the roof), too composited (the sky).

Saturn, all alone:

4/10, Not the most interesting composition/subject, try working in 1/3rds, looks like you've pulled the shadows too far, trees are too soft, as is the rest of the image, I'm assuming that's due to diffraction shooting at f22. Not too keen on the lens flare either. Soz!

8/10 for me. I like how she's captured in the middle of the vegetation, and there's a lot of detail in it to look closely at :)

I haven't done much lately as I've been ill, but I took a few on Sunday, and discovered just why I need IS on my 70-200. I also need a better extender. Anyhoo, here's my latest moon shot :D

6/10, yes, it does look a little bit blurry. Not quite sure why you went with the blue, it loses a bit of drama from the shot. The blue at the moment just looks like really solid noise to me. Not really my kind of photography but I suppose there isn't much outside of opportunism with shots like that.

It was blue because I took the photo in daylight :) I actually tinkered with the blacks to get a bit of detail on the moon, which has made it darker than it actually was :)

8/10

Slightly too contrasty for my liking, but love the reflections in the sand and the two kids staring out to sea.

8/10, nice star bursts, but feel that the image needs to be straightened slightly and have the highlights in the clock recovered a bit. Really like how the trails aren't the main subject of the image though, a good shot.

7. Not bad, but I think it could be made to look more interesting compositionally speaking, as it doesn't really say that much to me tbh as it is.

Out in the garden today testing out my 85 1.8 with ND4 & flash, then I noticed that my weigela I rescued had come back to life and had actually begun to flower, so I took a quick snapshot with just natural light.

8/10 Really like that. Would prefer less harsh light on the wood though, and maybe a little more interest in the cloud but I'm just nit-picking now.

8/10.

For what you were trying to achieve, I don't think you can get much better than this. Good shot overall :)

8.5/10 i guess, great shot, and you've captured the little guys expression really well. I would prefer it if the background was slightly less exposed, but the DOF does contrast it well.

Any chance you have this in a 1920x1080 ? would love to have that as a wallpaper, beautiful shot.

Also many thanks to the photographers and posters, lovely thread, with some fantastic pieces.

No problem, glad you like it, i'll send a copy to your hotmail address.

Here's another of mine from California.

5/10 Not sure what it is but it doesn't do anything for me :-(, nothing really very interesting in the frame, sorry :-(

One of mine for from last weekend at Snetterton.
