Ok some may remember myramblings and haste last week. Well after all thatthey cocked up too (yes I did 1st) :p

Anyhow get out clause and all that, they have cancelled it all.

I need a new contract and phone. I cant be on O2 as they get poo signal where i live, orange is fine. I have no idea about T mobile or 3.

Id like a HTC Sensation or should I go a gallaxy s2? I prresume the bet plac is go online as the store dont seem intrested in price matcching? Any advice? Any good deals? Are we alowed to post phone links on here?

Ah, you're the guy who got an Incredible S changed for a Desire HD :D

The top two Android phones are the Galaxy S II and the HTC Sensation (due out May 19th).

Unless you want HTC Sense UI and an aluminium bodied phone, the Galaxy S II is the one to go for.

Yes Im that plonker!

Whats the UI? hy does Ali body make any difference bar looks? (Or is that what your getting at?)

Best site for getting from? http://www.buymobilephones.net seems good

HTC Sense is HTCs custom skin for Android, it tends to be better than TouchWiz (Samsung) and MotoBlur (Motorola), but TouchWiz on the Galaxy S II is quite fine.

The Alu body doesn't really matter, but I suppose its generally preferred to plastic.

That website is fine and so are Mobiles.co.uk :)

Cheers.

On that note. My current O2 contract says bill date 6-8th each month and I pay on 22nd of each month. Whens the best time to change? Before the 22nd or before the 6th?

Personally, I still think TouchWiz is...hmm. Yeah...

Basically, make sure you try before you buy. Sense is great, however it is heavy, and will most likely run slow on any device, which is a shame. Moved to Cyanogenmod 7 myself, and I can say this is the first time that I have been very happy with my phone. Sense is great, but it just isn't fast.

Basically, if you want Sense, get a Sensation when it arrives. If you aren't too bothered, get a GS2, try TouchWiz and if you don't like it, root and CM7. But on all accounts, go to a shop, play with the phones!

I think the single best thing about Touchwhiz is that you can adjust screen brightness simply by holding and sliding the notification bar, that's genius!

The 2nd best thing is that you can manage a call completely from notification bar and do other while during the call like make notes or read the news.

I don't think Sense runs slowly, they've got it running well on a DHD which is 'old' tech so it should be slick as anything on the new HTC phone.

Both of these are part of the phone OS code not part of touchwiz - this works fine with a launcher replacement like LauncherPro for example.

That's exactly what I meant! I know it's part of the OS customisations but I said Touchwhiz because TBH Touchwhiz is a big part of Samsung's ecosystem, or at least that's how Samsung showcase it :p

Sorry :) Touchwiz is a solid effort but I don't like the app launcher in it because I'm a picky sod. It's fast and stable though which is probably more important.
