T/T Frio + Vengeance?

I have just spotted the Thermaltake Frio on offer *somewhere* for £30, which seems like a bargain (any thoughts?). But will it fit with Corsair Vengeance RAM? (I haven't bought the RAM yet, I'm still waiting for Z68). Is there any way of checking compatability?

I was original thinking of the CoolerMaster Hyper 212+, would this be more suitable? (Space-wise and cooling-wise, it's for a i5-2500K).

Finally, how about the Zalman CNPS9900? It's over my budget, but looks funky and has had decent reviews. It could be Hobson's Choice if the other two won't fit (I could settle for RAM with no heatsink, but the Vengeance seems to be great price/performance).

Any thoughts/comments/suggestions appreciated.

Might be a bit tight.

Ouch! That looks a bit tight (fnaar).
I also noticed that the Frio comes with Variable Rate fans (not PWM) which is not ideal IMHO.

So it's back to the Hyper212+, although this may have the same problem. Is it possible (or sensible) to run a CPU fan in pull-only (ie just one fan sucking air out of the heatsink? This would solve the clearance issue, but I guess it will be less efficient.

Bonus Question : Does it matter which DIMM slots are used? I know they're "paired", but can you use either "set" (blue or white in above photos)?

I assume it wouldn't be quite as efficient. I'm sure they don't make coolers with fans that blow through them for no reason.

It depends on your motherboard. Some require certain slots to be used first so they only work if you have a stick in the slot nearest the CPU.

The easiest solution is to buy some sensible RAM like Corsair XMS3. It's cheaper and doesn't have silly heat spreaders.

There are some Z68 boards listed on OcUK now. They're not cheap.

I don't really like my Frio and Vengeance combo on my asus p8p67 pro. 1st slot isn't usable with this set up so I'll have to sell the ram or cooler on if I needed more ram. Saying that most coolers will obscure the ram slots for this motherboard bah.

I had the hyper 212+ for a while and that left the first ram slot free but the performance didn't seem very good to me.
