Might be a strange request, but just wanted to know if anyone has had a iiyama monitor recently as i'm trying to find out if the package is normally sealed.

I received an iiyama tft today but the box top was torn and it hasn't got any tape sealing the box so i was wondering if it could be one which has been opened already or if this is normal.

I've already opened it and it's never had a seal - that's jut what I find strange.

It's already booked for return as a dsr return as it's got a bright green stuck pixel bang in the middle of the screen. Just wondered if the TFT could be one which was returned once already due to the pixel and just sent out again.

What conclusion did you come to dynamis? I've just received delivery of one, the box wasn't sealed and there's a stuck pixel towards the middle left of the screen.

That would be exceedingly naughty and very damaging to the rep of OCUK if true. If you do receive one of these i would DSR it immediately.

This doesn't sound very good at all. The fact that the boxes are open is a bit of a giveaway that they've either DSR returns or as was mentioned above inferior panels Iiyama are selling cheap to OcUK to shift. Wouldn't go anywhere near these at the moment. I'm sure some peoples' displays will be perfectly fine but you could be getting a dodgy panel?

Well I've arranged a DSR return on mine, RMA number has landed so will be sent tomorrow. I'll never know if they are sub standard or if it had been used before - no seal and damaged box doesn't point to 'brand new and seal' status but had it worked I would have kept it. For the price the display isn't bad at all but I can't live with a green dot in the centre :p

Took delivery of a Dell 2311H today and its a different league to the iiyama... Don't get me wrong I've always like iiyama kit but I wouldn't swap the Dell for the iiyama now I've seen to Dell in action. Calibrated it with Spyder3 Elite and its looking very nice indeed...
