Modern Warfare 3 Announcement Tonight?

unless it's mod tools for black ops and a big sinciere apology for releasing a bug ridden game the COD series as a whole can take a running jump.......

I like both BF and cod games and have bought all the cod games to date for the PC. But I can not see me ordering the next one with BF3 coming.

no :p just people hating cod as usual :D

I love CoD games. All 4 that came out before World at War...

I can see why they are so popular on consoles since there aren't many shooters that are better than MW2 and provide easy and enjoyable experience for everyone but the series turned into a joke on PC's, you can't say that MW2 isn't a downgrade from CoD 4 on PC's.

lack of dedicated servers is annoying but I love it online all the same, as long as a few mates are on its great. I have to play it on pc and console and it does have a different feel about it. obvious i guess with mouse keyboard being stupidly better and a controller. I dont think there are that many shooters online that are better than mw at the moment on pc either from a multi player aspect. battlefield series, quake live, team fortress are a few that are up there

So none of you guys mind that the online warfare was slashed from 32 players to just 18?

I thought it was just big of an issue as was no dedicated servers.

The experience is nothing like CoD:4 and that's the biggest drawback for me.

The price was also ridiculous, they asked so much money for a dumbed down console port that it was a shame so many players bent over for Activision again.

I'm still waiting for black ops to be £5 after wasting too much money on MW2. Battlefield on the hand. Bc2 spent a lot of hours. BF2 even more.

I still hope that one day Infinity Ward will drop the BS modern warfare and go back to its roots with a quality WW2 shooter, you can't beat it imo and there isn't enough of them nowadays.

No, WW2 was done to death - I much prefer shooters with a modern setting.

now there are rumors around that mw3 will feature destructable environments and larger maps with vehicles. thats why competition is always good.

basically. If its like cod4 including the awesome elements from Raven soft (SOF II) then we could have a winner of a game to be honest. Sof II mixed with Cod4 is like a dream :D

Tbh, MoH took the podium imo with WW2 shooter when they released Airborne, World at War was very good, but Airborne for me scrapes the win, no need for them to do it anymore because Activision have the Modern Warfare timeline.

Airbourne? Are you serious? Did you play it lol? It was sickening use of the moh name, just like the new modern one and moh pacific before them, moh went down the pan when what would become IW left EA and the moh series.

mohaa, cod 1 and cod 2, all great ww2 shooters.

I hope Respawn Entertainment (ex IW bosses and staff) go back to mohaa/cod1/2 roots and make a good game.

The return of WW2 can't come soon enough for me and luckerly RO2 is coming and i'm really hoping that will be big.

I'd love a new Raven Shield too, if you played that now, minus the graphics you'd be amazed how dumb modern gaming is. That game was ace for small tactics, planning, mp with friends on vent = some of my best gaming moments.

Nope not really, I played nothing but PAM/Promod on CoD4 which was the usual 5v5 matches, and maybe some 10v10 on public servers.

Why are you always trying to make it out as if Activision are the only company to charge stupid money for their products?

Well, they're not the only ones.

Why are you implying that I'm trying to make it out so?

Activision-Blizzard are well known for overcharging and having one of the most dedicated customer base anyway. Nothing wrong with that as long as they produce quality titles.

Modern CoD games aren't that in my opinion and yet they are milky cows for Activision, however you would look at it.

And there goes entitled opinions, and no i didn't play it, despite i was comparing it to WaW, of course i played it and guess what, i enjoyed it.

Well I kind of meant online, it was like 12 player max, and reused mohaa maps lol.

The sp wasnt too bad but was still full of rubbish like slow motion action.

Wasn't worth the £30 I paid thats for sure.
