Will I benefit from gaming mouse?

If you can stretch a little then I would recommend THIS

I have one of these and they feel superb for both everyday use and for gaming would recommend one to anybody.

i have had mine for 2-3 years & its still works fine,good enough for everyday use & brilliant for fps gaming,if it goes i will buy another one.
 
I was using a normal mouse 20 months ago before I purchased the pc in my sig...

With the new PC I ordered a razer deathadder... been using it for 20 months and I cannot fault it in any way... it is a great mouse. (and I am like you, I game very little, a lot of usage goes to browsing and work (programming))

I also just ordered the Razer Scarab for it!
