You could have saved a pound getting it from here...
Same here, logitech replaced my G5, but as it was gonna take over a week to reach me, i bought one. Far better than the G5, (which was a great mouse). Ive found the scroll wheel to be very good, better resistance than the G5.

Just so you all know, the delivery was delayed 1 day - should be with OcUK tomorrow now.
I gave the warning cos some games which use the scroll wheel for things do strange things as it appers to be very sensative and anything can get the wheel spining so I found it changing weopons for no reason, than I relised it was in the free scroll mode 
( althrough for web browesing I do perfer the free scroll mode)

What is the difference between this and the G9X except for being a different shape? Any advantages in either regarding spec, working on certain surfaces?

I was cleaning my MX518 yesterday and realised how disgusting it was since I've owned it from launch. I'm a bit concerned about the back and forward buttons on the new one and the scroll wheel being too lose. Also is the general shape and size more or less identical?
