Finished my gaming build

nice m8ty.. any benchmarks for us yet?. What are your temps like with the venom?, when i had for my i5 750 my temps where 35'c idel and 65'c at load

Ok just played battlefield bad company 2 oh max settings for about 4 hour's and here are my temps.

GPU ran 65'c max and fan speed never went over 15%

CPU was 38'c highest 26'c lowest (avarage across 4 cores)
All in standard speeds, ive not overclocked yet. Dont need to imo.
And to think I have the option of fitting another 5 fans if i want?? lol

Temp programes used Catalyst, msi afterburner and core temp.

I am very happy with my build so far!

Temps are solid.

The next thing to buy is - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-227-CM&groupid=701&catid=7&subcat=29

What I'm really impressed with is the lack of "bend" on that card.

Thanks mate, The trick with the gpu is tight wiring and that trick gpu support bracket. I did have to mod it slightly from the picture shown as it came into contact with my side fan. Fits a treat now though.

The only gripe I have about the build is the coolermaster sickle flow side fan is a tad on the noisy side.

Hi Maniac, in what what did you have to modify it? The only reason I ask is because I've just done a build in the same case with a side fan and I'm concerned that when my 6950 arrives I won't be able to fit the bracket in! Oh and if you want a quieter side fan, take a look at the Coolermaster turbine master 120mm fan. I don't think OCUK do them but they are available elsewhere and they really are pretty quiet. I've got one on the side and another in the roof.

The bracket has a plastic swivel at the end that you angle into the card, it has 3 fingers on it and I found by removing the top finger by way of a hacksaw it slotted under the card a lot better. I'll take a pic when I get 5 and post it up on this thread.

Ah I see, thanks for the pic. That doesn't look too difficult to do, I'll have to give it a bash. How are you liking the case? And are you happy with the card? The Direct CU 6950/70 seem to have incredible overclocking potential from what I've read. Oh and how loud is the card? I like that the stock fans are pretty quiet and I'd like to keep it that way!
