Is PSN under attack? - PSN now back up 15/05

I've done gay tony mainly forth base jumping :D

It's only short tbh.

I found MP good fun, with the Police Stinger, high speed pursuits galore. Occasionally ruined by the idiot in the attack helicopter (as is the case with the other GTA4 games).
It is too short and I hate how they didn't even put in vigilante and assassin missions. Bit rushed, seemed like a cashcow, could have been more. I loved the club scene feel of VC and it was good to get that back, but TBoGT was a bit of a let down. Not even a decent choice of outfits :(

Another thing that always annoyed me was the random crash helmets, I want a black one to match my black suit and black bike :p

Gamersmint is taking a while to load...

With Brink out today (I presume Tuesday for US) I hope they give a proper ETA today if its not up today. I think its the most MP orientated game to come out since PSN went down?

Whatever happens it looks like whoever predicted months was right ;)

The same reason awesome people do?
I've heard the same elsewhere, it's just that ones kinda funny.
Why do you say still, it's 3 days old, have they fixed it yet?
Why are you always so confrontational anyway?

Im not but that single YouTube video isnt a great 'review' or anything I would base a buying decision especially in light of the published reviews it has been getting, is it out of the ordinary that a new FPS game has online server issues nowadays?

Unfortunately Im not great at suffering fools, its not the best character trait, but serves me well on here - honestly stop being so over-sensitive, its the internet. Considering my original point your reply wasnt even relevant...

Crazy it's not back up and they won't give a date. They gave a vague update on Monday, knowing full well it was not going to be up this week (if it was coming back today we would have heard about it and there is no way they will turn it on at the weekend).

I am sure they don't want to lose game sales, but they need to be honest and narrow it down to a particular week as the delay is getting ridiculous now.

Personally, I would have returned my Mortal Kombat game by now, had I not used the online code :(

I would certainly delay buying it until the networking issues are sorted.. or wait for the price to drop ;)
The video is exactly what it's meant to be, he's saying he can't review it, it's not worth reviewing, because it's essentially a beta.
This does happen a lot these days, I can't think why, GT5 worked pretty good out the box and it's not like there's any less going on
Are FPS makers just lazy?

Your original point was what?
Why do idiots still refer to that review?

Their source is essentially "some bloke who works in Game" :p
Remind me where I inferred I was buying it or anyone else here? ;)

i told people who had purchased recent games for online to return them as soon as it went down and sony released the info.

people then flamed me on here for saying so.

i said why have a game sitting there, you cant play, which you could re-buy in a months time for a lot cheaper than it was at launch. essentially you would have to be stupid not to return it.

i dont think sony are going to release an ETA of any sort, they will put it online, then release a statement afterwards essentially saying, sorry for the delay, after unexpected delays and testing psn is now online.

The problem of giving a date, is letting people down again when it passes, its easier to say soon, then appologise if it takes a little longer.

theres a huge difference between giving a rough ETA and an exact date or no date at all, giving a date instills some confidence in their fan base. put it this way, if PSN was going to be fixed on monday as an ETA, a lot of people would keep their consoles, yet since there is no date, hundreds will sell / trade in their consoles over the weekend.

by not giving any date what so ever, is hurting them more than giving an ETA and failing to adhere to it.

they think they can string people along, but they cant, by giving no date, its going to end up hurting them more than what they are trying to save.

Lots of people tho dont understand what an ETA is, im past caring now, i know it will come back, and every thing will return to normall. sony will have learnt from this and hopefully stop it from happening agin.
