AC2 and Brotherhood worth playing?

Hey guys!

i played assassins creed 1 and didnt finish it as it got repetative etc back when it came out. this may be my reason for missing the latest editions even though ive heard good things!

a friend has offered to lend me AC2, should i take him up on the offer? or jump straight to the latest one?

if i understand correctly, AC2 and brotherhood have a joined story line?

borrow ac2, it has more ways of killin so it does make it less repetitive than the first, likewise ac b/h has a few more killing moves than ac2. ac2 and brotherhood story are joined so it is better to play ac2 first :)
 
AC2 is great game, well worth playing.
Brotherhood is a fantastic game, deep storyline, amazing graphics.... a must play.

I would definitely play AC2 before diving into Brotherhood.
 
Anyone got any fighting tips for AC:B? I'm awful! I usually get the first kill, but then all the other soldiers block my hits...
I've never played an AC before btw.

Counter attacking them is pretty easy mode and maybe the way to go. If I remember correctly if they are blocking your attacks you can just keep attacking them repeatedly, the block does eventually go down. You can also counter mid attack if your quick enough.

Pretty sure there's a kill chain as well, say if you kill someone, then press the direction of another enemy and press attack at the same time (as the direction press), it goes to instantly kill them too, and you can then chain up instant kills. (I think this part is correct!? I remember doing something like this.)
 
Yeah there's chainkills were you point in the direction and press attack, its funny when you stab someone and then shoot another in the face :p
 
Cool! Started ac2 last night and seems much better than ac1 already! Hope it hooks me in! How long for completion on both ? Want them out the way before infamous 2! :D
 
Ooh forgot Infamous 2 was on the way, think it's about time for a play through of the first.

But yeah AC2 is much better than the first one, and Brotherhood is really just an extension of AC2 (although better in my mind).

I just cannot pull the chain attack off. It says hold LS and then press X when performing an execution. When in the execution should you press X?!?!? start middle or end. I just have not been able to do any chains yet!!! :(
 
Ha!

I've just got brotherhood and have managed 20+ chain in the training. Direction pad and attack button after you've parried/blocked...as that attack is happening, move the direction pad toward another enemy and hold/press attack again and it should attack the next person - be prepared to block and dodge during all this as well though as you may not quite make the next chain attack before they hit you.
