The wife has asked me to get her a WII fit bundle.
She primarily wants to use the fitness games and the sports resort etc.
I already have 2 great consoles capable of this sort of thing
DO I NEED A WII ?

Look at it this way - she let you get a 360 and PS3 so why shouldn't she have a Wii?
It's not for you so why ask if you need one?
Also she might not want to use a console in the front room to get fit. We have a Wii which is in the bedroom on our last CRT telly and the wife uses it for Wii fit and the (awesome) Mario games.

Perhaps i worded my op wrong, i am not against giving my dear wife anything I meant are the 360 and ps3 alternatives as good as or better than the Wii ?

I'm not Wii bashing but get the Kinect it's cheaper and more fun.

See somebody understood me :-) this is what i want pepoples opinions on how the systems compare

Definately this. The Wii is a gimmick. Yes they sold by the bucket load, but I bet 50% of them just sit for months collecting dust without use.
Surely though the same potential is there for Kinect too? Its very much following the same path as Wii currently - just too early to say I guess...

ps3ud0

Unless your wife will start playing Nintendo games such at Mario, Donkey King, Zelda, etc as well as Wii fit then no. Get get a Kinect or PS3 Move instead.

depends if she want to use the wii when ur playing the ps3 or xbox? having all three machines is a good idea as it gives you more choice and will keep the missus quiet. The real question is who is gonna be playing what and how many tv there are in the house?

I doubt very much she will start playing these

Just one tv available for the type of use she wants to do with it and thats where the PS3 lives. but TV time isnt an issue as I work shifts so she can do it when I'm at work.
Just want the best system for the job for her really
