Just got this on eBay and the fan dosn't spin, it's very stiff and attempts to spin very, very, very slowly. I swear i am not buying anything else 2nd hand off eBay, nightmare.

Any idea if i can get a replacement fan? if not then it's going back.

haha! thats odd, i bought the exact same thing off ebay and it was delivered yesterday - i havent tested it yet though :(

anyway, why not just get a decent 120mm fan, disconnect the old one and strap a proper fan to it? youll probably get better temps too no?

1rpm per min.

hehe, as am engineer i had to chuckle at this, one revolution per minute per minute? so 1 revolution per minute squared? :p :p :p

ANYWAY, getting sidetracked - yeah, dont worry about it, if you got it at a very good price, i would keep it and just strap a decent fan to it :)

If you fancy a bit of soldering you could solder the replacement fan's wiring to the existing wiring so you can retain graphics card fan speed and monitoring. A 120mm strapped above the dead fan would be a good solution, but would consume an extra PCI slot.

I think i'll just return it, can't be good if the person has been running it like this. Not having much luck with eBay, bought 4 x 1gb of Ballistix PC28500 1066Mhz from eBay last week and was getting restarts and lots of errors in Memtest.

After further investigation it turns out that two are 2.0v and the other two are 2.2v, it's the 2.2v that give the errors and seems to be a common problem after looking on forums, some people say they run ok at 2.2v but i can't change my 2v ones to that and Crucial say not to use ram with different voltages.

Avoid the bay and buy from OcUK :p. If you can get 250 posts in three months, you will also gain access to the Members market.
